Life is short… and it doesn’t matter how good your grades are — or how many hours you put in at the soup kitchen… you’re not safe. Bad things happen. Things you can’t control. Things that have nothing to do with you. And they will destroy you if you let them. Or you can try to learn from them… so that next time, you’ll be prepared. So that — even if you never feel safe again — you can do your best to make sure that what happned to you never happens to anyone else. And if you’re very lucky… you won’t have to do it alone.

Clint: Who do you think I am?
Patriot: I don’t know. Pick a name. And it better not start with “Captain America” - cause that ain’t you.
Clint: You mean like someone calling herself “Hawkeye”.
Hawkeye: I…I don’t know why I should explain myself to you - particularly when you’re dressed like…like that. I took his name because he died. Because I wanted to honor him. If Hawkeye were alive - I’d call myself something else. By the way, it was the real Cap who offered me the name. And the bow.
Clint: He…did…?
Civil War: Fallen Son 3
Hawkeye aims her arrow at Iron Man.
Hawkeye: Don’t waste your breath, Patriot.
